The Edgard J. Pierre foundation was founded in 2004 in memory of our father Edgard Joseph Pierre who passed away on January 18,1987. Mr Pierre was a leader and pioneer in the Little Haiti community . Mr Pierre’s passion for helping his community in South Florida and back Home in his beloved country of Haiti is the inspiration behind this foundation .
In his Honor, We support several initiatives throughout Haiti and the United States to feed , cloth , educate & nurture needy children in Haiti. A few of our many initiatives include the annual fight for hunger drive , our back to School Initiative & our scholarship program for orphans in Northern Haiti. We are proud to say that we were consistently one of the first responders with goods and services for the unfortunate disasters in Haiti. With the help of our donors , we will continue to pass on 100% of your donations to improving the conditions of Haiti’s youth.
One of Our goals is to build an Orphanage in Cap Haitian. The vision of project Hope is to create a self-sustainable community based on agriculture. The children of the orphanage that are age appropriate will have quality education,Health care, Sports activities and will learn to cultivate the land they reside on in order to feed themselves. Project Hope through the foundation is presently in talks with the mayor of Trou Du Nord in Cap Haitian. We are currently negotiating the possibility of obtaining donated land for the project.
